2027 Meet and Confer Negotiating Team Election

The authority for meet and confer shall be vested in the negotiating team which shall be elected by the membership.” - ARTICLE XV - MEET AND CONFER, HOPE Constitution & Bylaws

The Meet & Confer Negotiations process is mandated by Article XV in the Constitution & Bylaws. HOPE is a member-driven union, and an election process helps make sure members have a say.

The Negotiating Team will have 20 total members, of which 4 will be the HOPE officers of President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The remaining 16 seats will be filled by this election!

The election will conclude on Saturday, September 12th, at 6:00 PM. This will give members plenty of time to make their selections.

The Negotiating Team is only as strong as the membership. There will be several actions and opportunities to support the HOPE priorities this Bargaining session.

HOPE members are encouraged to participate at every level of this process, including joining the Contract Action Team (CAT).

The CAT is vital to keeping members connected to the Negotiating process so they can know what's going on. Additionally, the Negotiating Team is going to need support from the membership, and CAT members can help!
